Forms of Payment
The Library can process payments through cash or local check.
Due to the Library's limited funds for providing change, cash payments must be within $2.00 of the total amount being paid.
Under Section 97-19-73 of the Mississippi Code of 1972, checks with Insufficient Funds or Account Closed errors can be collected by the district attorney. Collection includes the amount of the check plus additional fees of $40 to the victim and to the district attorney’s office to cover expenses. The library will collect additional identifying information on check writers at the time the check is written.
Credit card payments are available in person at the Lincoln County Library.
Credit card payments for fines and fees are available via the patron’s online account. (must log into the catalog)
