  • Served as librarian of the Redmond Memorial Library, 
  • At the main library in Brookhaven, served as head circulation clerk and  reference/interlibrary loan/genealogy clerk
  • Received first “Employee of the Year Award” in 1983
  • Retired from the library system in 2007 after 30 years of service
  • Member of Bethel AME Church, serving as Sunday School teacher, stewardess, usher and Sunday School secretary
  • 2 children, 2 grandchildren
