  • Over 30 years experience in education serving as principal, assistant principal and counselor
  • Served as President of the Midtown Neighborhood Development Group and member of the West Jackson Improvement Association
  • Served on Mayor’s Advisory Committee, Superintendent’s Advisory committee and the committee to select the Chief of Police
  • Member of Farish Street Missionary Baptist Church
  • Married to late Issie Patterson; 2 children
