Purpose of Meeting
The purpose of the event is to teach a creative writing workshop, where youth participants will learn poetry-writing techniques: suspense, conflict, points of view, rhythm, setting, structure, diction, theme, and stanzas. This event is preparation for a Mother's Day Multigenerational Tea & Poetry Symposium that will take place in Jackson. Most of the girls who are involved in this project reside in the Brookhaven/Lincoln area.
