DESCRIPTION:Mrs. Eva Vernon served as one of the original board members of
  the Lincoln County Public Library and established the Eva Vernon Library 
 Foundation for the purpose of keeping, maintaining and improving a free pu
 blic library system in Lincoln County. Mrs. Vernon's portrait and sil
 ver tea service are on display in the Vernon Meeting Room at Lincoln Count
 y Public Library. The Vernon Tea Party will be held annually to celebrate
  the contributions of Mrs. Vernon. This event is open to all ages and fre
 e of charge, but registration is required, as space is limited. Although t
 he event is open to all ages there will be no separate children’s activi
 ty. The dress code is dressy casual and guests are invited to don their f
 inest tea hats.
