Patrons may register for a card at a library branch or via the 'SIGN UP' option available on the library's online catalog.
Patrons who complete only the 'SIGN UP' registration option are able to access any of the library's digital resources, but must upgrade their registration to access physical materials.
Patrons wanting to upgrade their card for access to physical materials must supply a current (not expired or altered) State of Mississippi ID with current address listed OR a social security card plus one professionally produced piece of mail (no personal mail, junk mail, etc.) that is postmarked within the last 30 days. The address on the forms of identification must match the address on the patron's application. These forms of identification may be presented at any Lincoln Lawrence Franklin library facility. Library staff will retain a photocopy of the forms of identification for registrations purposes.
Children under 18 must have a parent/guardian provide identification and authorize the juvenile's registration. Parents/guardians must also have or obtain a current library registration.
The first library card is free. Replacement cards are $2.00. Patrons may be required to provide a physical library card for access to specific services, as requested by staff.
Cards for new registrations are (only) mailed to patrons. Supplying an Invalid mailing address may result in the temporary lose of some library services.
