Consortium
The Lincoln-Lawrence-Franklin Library, South Mississippi Regional Library, Copiah-Jefferson Regional Library, and Pike-Amite-Walthall Library System form the Longleaf Library Consortium. While each system is independently governed, the consortium allows patron to receive library services at any of the twenty-one (21) branches located within the consortia area - all on one library card! Patrons unable to locate materials at one library branch may be able to locate that material at another branch and have it routed to them - free of charge!
Interlibrary Loan
Interlibrary loan is a free service that allows patrons to request materials outside the Library's immediate collection.
A patron with a valid library card may place up to three requests for interlibrary loan books. Interlibrary loans are generally not available until the item is at least 6 months beyond its release date. The Library will search for the book, make the request and call the patron when the book is ready for pickup. The book will have a special check-out period dependent upon the date it is due back to the lending library. These books have a late fee of 50¢ per day up to $10.00.
Please keep in mind that the Library has no control over when or if requested books will be provided, so if it’s imperative that you have the book or must have it quickly, interlibrary loan may not be a good option. An extension is not always available past the due date.
