This is a new index created by Sue Dorman from obituaries or death notices or articles published in early Brookhaven, Mississippi, newspapers. The dates range from 1875-1885 and there are 301 entries. The indexing was taken from microfilm copies of newspapers held in the Lincoln County Public Library and some are in poor condition. Every effort to enter correct information was made. 

Copies of the death notices from microfilm are $1.00 each plus postage and are filled on a first come/first served basis as time permits. Please ask for a reasonable number of photocopies as the library does not employ a genealogy librarian.
