Dear Friends,

2012 has been a great year and fabulous start for the Friends. YOU are the Friends of the Library and YOU are the reason we are effective.

The Friends of the Library ended the year with another fantastic Book Sale headed up by Eric Kaplan. Eric, thank you for all you do! We made almost $1,400! This has been a tremendous service to Friends and to the Library. Recent purchases for the library include a materials sensitizer/desensitizer unit for the security system, as well as much-needed equipment for the circulation staff. We have also donated $1,500 for books which will be ordered in the next few weeks.

Many thanks to all the volunteers who helped with the Book Sale. We could not do this without our wonderful members! Many thanks to the circulation staff who help us by handling purchases when we are not there.

We are in need of a volunteer who is computer-savvy to assist the Executive Committee in getting us up to speed on our electronic communications and records. Please call Pam at 601-320-4304 if you are the one who can help.

We are excited about possibilities for this year's programs. Stay tuned for upcoming events! Our first job is membership renewals and invitations for new memberships. Tell your friends about this great organization. Also, we've noticed that many wives have signed up but not husbands...where are you guys? We need you!
